<<paraphrased from WIKIPEDIA>> Black Light Theatre is a theatrical performance style characterized by the use of black box theatre augmented by black light illusion. This form of theatre originated in Asia and can be found in many places around the world.
It is a blend of pantomime, dance, music and a non-verbal theatre production.
In principle, the black light theatre relies on one simple optical illusion called "black box trick.“
This illusion is based upon a weakness of human eye. As the actors dressed in black cannot be seen against the black background, we only see the colorfully costumed actors and bright objects in the foreground. Actors in black use various props and objects. These objects are lit by an ultraviolet light or by moving spotlights. Since the background actors are "invisible", objects appear to be moving and actors in costumes really seem to fly!
